Message from Alumni Officer

It is that wonderful time of the year for all of us at MMUST when we congratulate candidates  for the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates. We join your parents, guardians, friends and others in celebrating your achievements and your successes. We bask in the pride we all feel for you.

As you go out there into the world of work, do not stagnate intellectually, embrace lifelong learning so you may continue to learn. Seek the counsel of wise men and women in person and through their writings and using their wisdom and experience learn to live efficiently. Surround yourself with smart people, you will be challenged to do your best and they will elevate your thinking. They will also challenge you to think harder and in different ways. These are people who will challenge you to be the best you can.

As you move into the future, it becomes the now, and that now is the appointed time! Do your best here and now and let the future take care of itself. And, don’t be caught waiting for tomorrow. It is great to plan your future, just don’t live there, live now for whatever happens –happens now, so live your life where the action is – now. But, remember that life is a miracle every moment of your existence. And each moment of your life is a brushstroke in the painting of your growing career. The art of achievement is the art of making life – your life – a master piece.

Align yourself with enduring values and virtues of human life that make for growth and progress. Join hands with all people who are working for great principles, great purposes and great causes. Show sincere appreciation for the contribution others make to the enrichment of your life. Organize your personal life for efficient living in all important areas: work, play, love worship and service to others.

Know yourself and to your own self be true. Your time on earth is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. The person who you are with most in life is yourself and if you don’t like yourself you are always with somebody you don’t like. There is no reason not to follow your heart and intuition. Listen to your own inner voice. Breakdown the walls of prejudice, fear and limitations. Have the courage to think your thoughts, speak your mind and live your own life. Feed other minds and help them grow. Guide them in the art of discovery and inspire others to live great lives. Above all, always remember that we cherish you and love you.

Build the efficient mentality of balance, perception, organization, ability and stamina. Recognize that work, not repose, is the destiny of humankind. It is only through work that you can express yourself and make a contribution to human progress. May these words of wisdom go marching down the years in your life and in the lives you touch.

God Bless You!
