The Directorate of Corporate Communications and Marketing is a newly established Directorate charged with the responsibility of developing and implementing the University's public communication and publishing policy. Among other responsibilities, it publishes all University learning and publicity materials including: modules, books, journals, newsletters, brochures, calendars, magazines and manages the University web content.

The Directorate collaborates with all faculties' schools, directorates, centre and departments in preparing and publishing the publicity and learning materials. It is therefore in charge of the Masinde Muliro University Press. The MMUST Press aims at becoming a leading university press on the continent in order to contribute to the generation of knowledge and exchange of academic materials.

The Directorate of Corporate Communications and Marketing aims at positioning itself in the international arena, by fostering collaborative alliances with national and international publishers. When fully operational, MMUST Press will promote scholarly communication by publishing outstanding research works and creation of a platform for African researchers to engage in academic discourses.

The Directorate also audits the communication processes of the university andcontinuously communicate to the public through various formats. In addition, it monitors, collates, analyses media coverage of the university activities and provides relevant management information.
