Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Don to Chair State Corporation
Selly Jemutai Kimosop, a lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, MMUST has been appointed as Chairperson of a State Corporation for a period of three years, with effect from 21st October, 2016. In a Kenya Gazette Notice dated 26th October, 2016, the Cabinet Secretary Environment and Natural Resources, Prof. Judy Wakhungu appointed Ms Selly Kimosop to chair the Forest Conservation and Management Trust Fund. Selly is the Coordinator of Privately Sponsored Students’ Programme in the Faculty of Science, MMUST.
A prolific researcher and multidisciplinary author, Ms Selly has attracted research funding from the International Foundation for Science (IFS), The World Academy for Science (TWAS) and the National Commission for Science and Technology (NACOSTI). As a result, she has published many papers in refereed journals within the last two years. She also benefited from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarships for both her Masters and PhD studies.
