RutoThe Kakamega County Pastors Association led by Bishop Simon Oketch of the Anglican Church Kakamega together with Tuombeeni Kenya Group which is led by H.E Mama Rachel Ruto held National Prayers at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) grounds on Thursday 29th June, 2017. A congregation that included the Kakamega County residents, MMUST students and Staff, prayed that peace and tranquillity prevails in Kenya before, during and after the 2017 National Elections.

“I urge you to be ambassadors of peace in Kenya and beyond.” H.E Madam Ruto said.  She emphasized on the need for all Kenyans to remain prayerful in all circumstances.

Among the prayer items that the congregation prayed for included: The Presidency/ parliament/ judiciary and the the church; IEBC inclusive of electoral systems and processes; all aspirants at different levels; media; the security system; marriage, parenting and the family unit, and protection of Kenya from terrorism.
