Attesting to the impact of the workshop, the Dean of SASS- Dr. Rose Auma expressed delight at the support from AWB, noting that the workshop addressed a critical gap in grant proposal writing at the University. “This workshop has been transformative for our faculty. Many of our researchers have innovative ideas but lack the skills to effectively communicate their vision to potential funders. Appreciations to AWB, we now have a stronger foundation for writing compelling proposals and securing essential funding,” said Dr. Auma.

Reiterating the Dean, Dr. David Barasa encouraged his counterparts to go ahead with refining their proposals and submit them to potential funders.

AWB’s Volunteer Prof. Joanne Oxley, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in advancing academic research. “At AWB, we believe that strong academic institutions are key to solving global challenges. By enhancing the grant writing skills of MMUST researchers, we are investing in their ability to make meaningful contributions to research and innovation,” said Prof. Oxley.
