Vivian Ziporah Anyango, an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD), Kakamega County, under the mentorship of the Meteorological Officer, Mr. Jared Abuti, Prof.William Shivoga (MMUST) and Ms. Consolata Shilaho (MMUST), in June 2021. “During my attachment at the Kenya Meteorological Department, I successfuly learnt about the observation of the elements of weather, the codes used in reporting the elements of weather and the process of transmission of the weather data after it has been coded; the importance of the observations to the aviation sector.
