Justin Mwangi, an Undergraduate student pursuing Diploma in Applied Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences) on Industrial Attachment at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Juja Campus, under the mentorship of the Chief Technician-Botany Department- Mr. Bernard Kinyua and Prof. John Muoma (MMUST), in June 2021.

 “During my attachment in the Botany Lab, JKUAT, I successfully learnt on phytochemical extraction like nicotine from Tobacco, biological methods for sewage treatment, tissue culture technic, microbial inoculation technic which includes streaking, pour plate and spread technique as well as in microbiology equipment used in Molecular Biology Lab and different techniques of preparing slides and types of staining including simple and gram staining,” he said.
