Viona Daale, an Undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science under the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at the East African Portland Cement Company PCL (EAPCC) -Machakos County. Under the mentorship of the EAPCC Manager, Mr. G.G. Wachira and Prof. John Muoma (MMUST), in June 2021. 

“During my attachment, I extensively learnt the processes of carrying out an external and internal environmental audit, mechanisms of performing a routine based safety and environment inspections of the plant. Further, I got acquianted with the knowledge of quality control in cement production and participated in stock take activities using GPS quantitative survey,” she said.
