Anglican Development Services (ADS-Kenya)

 

kavMaithya T. Kavula, an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in the School of Natural Resources (SONAS-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at the Anglican Development Services (ADS-Eastern ) under the mentorship of the ADS-Eastern staff Madam Hellen Ndanu, Mr. Paul Nzuki, Eng. John Kinyoki, Mr. Japheth Kiminza and Mr. Caleb Muendo and the MMUST experts Mr. Willy Aganyanya and Mr. Nicholas Kitungulu, in July 2021.

“During my Industrial Attachment I got the opportunity to learn about sand dam management, environmental management within the community, intiation and implantation of community-based projects, participating in construction of sand dams within the community, utilization of traditional crops for food security within the community, farm pond construction and how to use it for the betterment of the environment. I also learnt nursery bed preparations within the community, mobilizing the community to take collective action on environmental matters, team work within the staff members, report writing and filling."
