Abigael Nyende, an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at the Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organization, Veterinary Science Research Institute at Alupe in Busia County under the mentorship of the Chief Laboratory Technologist, Mr. Samuel Imailuk, the Entomologist, Mr. Godfrey Emase, and MMUST supervisors, Dr. Mario Kollenberg and Prof. John Muoma in May 2021.
“During my attachment at KALRO, I successfully learnt the techniques in phlebotomy (venous blood collection), microbiology (bacterial susceptibility test), molecular biology and safe disposal of infectious wastes”.
