Remmy Anderson, is an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at the KALRO- TRC ALUPE (Busia County) under the mentorship of Prof. J. Muoma and Mr. Samuel Imailuk.

“During my attachment at KALRO TRC ALUPE, I learnt to carry out different diagnostic biochemical tests such as urinalysis, stool analysis, ABO blood grouping etc both human and animals. The main mandate of the organisation is to eradicate trypanosomiasis that cause sleeping sickness in human and nagana in animals. I’m now conversant with different methods of tsetse collection, control and dissection for identification of trypanosomes.”
