Irene Wanjiku, an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at Kenya Forest Service (KFS) Headquarters in Nairobi County under the mentorship of the Forest Conservator Diana Kishiki and Prof. John Muoma (MMUST), in June 2021.

“During my attachment at KFS-Nairobi, I acquired various skills including working with the community in participatory forest management as well as Forestry extension methodologies. I also got the opportunity to work with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which made me learn how to work with people of diverse cultures around the world.
