Sharon Maradi Barasa, an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at the Kenya Forest Service(Kiambicho Forest Station-Murang’a County) under the mentorship of Silas Kanyogoro (Ecosystem Conservator) and Simon Kimaita (Forester) and Dr. Dennis M.W. Ochieno (MMUST), in June 2021.
“KFS has enabled me to understand how seedlings in a forest can be conserved, how the ecosystem can benefit not only the society but also students in doing research activities. The forest has also offered me with skills on how to protect and manage a forest without having to destroy it or create conflicts with communities around it,” said Sharon
