Rita Ellen Awuor Opiyo, an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management in the Department of Biological Sciences (School of Natural Sciences-MMUST) on Industrial Attachment at Water Resources Authority (WRA-Kisumu County) under the mentorship of the Environmental Expert Mr. Collins Odhiambo and Mr. Zedekiah Odira (MMUST), in June 2021.

“During my attachment in WRA-Kisumu, I successfully learnt the processes of monitoring and evaluation of projects especially the ones done by the WRUAs. I also got to learn the permitting process for water abstraction and the requirements for acquisition of the permit. I also helped in the implementation process of projects and monitoring the water quality in the environs of Kisumu and the treatment plants by KIWASCO,”
