The Department of Student Affairs is currently equipped with a Legal Assistant who deals with all legal issues in the student affairs department. The Legal Assistant recently swore in the Students Executive Committee and Parliament.

She also presided over the first student parliamentary sitting where elections for the speaker, deputy speaker and clerk were conducted. The Legal Assistant has previously been involved in the review of the MMUSO Constitution and other policies in the student affairs department. She is a member of the Appeals Committee and Students Disciplinary Committee.
