Experts from Malteser International visit MMUST to assess Quantification of Resource Capacity Needs for the Skills Laboratory at SONMAPS

Today, 24th March 2022, a team of experts from Malteser International, led by Mr. Charles Aywak paid a courtesy call to the offices of the DVC, Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) and Planning Research and Innovation (PRI) respectively. They will be in the University for a two-day assessment and quantification of human resource capacity in the Skills Laboratory at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedical Sciences (SONMAPS). They will also equip the Skills Laboratory, which is aimed at enhancing basic and advanced skills for Nursing and Health Sciences students. This is as a result of the partnership between MMUST and Malteser International, which will also see a number of staff from the skills laboratory receive further training.

The University officers who received the Malteser team included the DVC ASA, Prof Hussein Golicha, Dr. Catherine Aurah (representing the DVC PRI, Prof. Charles Mutai), Prof. John Okoth, Prof. Gladys Mengich, the Dean School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedical Sciences, Prof. Mary Kipmerewo, Mr. John Arudo and the COD Paramedical Sciences, Ms. Lydia Nyachiro.
