According to Dr. Patrick Wanguche, the Medical Officer In-Charge of MMUST Clinic, MMUST Community should seize this opportunity to get screened and gather knowledge and Information about the disease Tuberculosis. Those who are either infected or affected by TB in one way or another should also visit the Clinic and learn more about ways of preventing TB disease. “I would like to urge the MMUST Community to visit the Clinic for this free screening exercise. Our staff are ready and willing to help educate, counsel and conduct screening tests. We have made arrangements for activities to mark the World TB Day on Friday 22th Match 2019, bearing in mind that Sunday 24th March 2019, the World TB Day will be on a weekend. In the run up to this important day, we want to make sure that we reach as many people as possible. This will ensure that correct information on how to prevent and reverse the burden of Tuberculosis are disseminated to the university community” said Dr. Wanguche.

The TB team leaders under the coordination of Mr. Felix Ambuche expect a large number of clients to turn up for the free screening. “We are targeting at least 50% of the university community to pay us a visit during the period. In my capacity as the event coordinator, am challenging my team to rise up to the big task on Friday. In preparation for this, a tent will be set at the Clinic from where clients will be attended to. I would like to see more people coming for this important exercise. We are ready to assist them” said Mr. Ambuche.
