MMUST STUN IMPALA TO CLINCH SECOND KENYA CUP WIN!!

The first win was when the varsity boys played against Mwamba and emerged winners with 12 points against 6 for their opponents. MMUST’s first try was scored by Clause Shirievo and successfully converted by Norbert Lumbwani. The second and third tries were scored by red hot winger Lameck Ambetsa. The team is preparing to face Kenya Harlequins this coming weekend.

So far, Makaka has played five (5) games in the Kenya Cup and have won two (2) of them against very well established teams. It is worth noting that all the matches have been away and the home matches have been moved to Nandi Hills because it is the closest open field that Kenya Cup has allowed due to COVID-19.

“For a new entrant in the League, MMUST RFC has done a superb job and we are proud of them. We hope to do even better in the remaining games. We thank the University management for the continued support rendered to our rugby boys,” says the head coach and mentor, Dr. Ochieng’ Ahaya.
