Dr. Emmanuel E. Okenwa-Vincent of the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences explains the equipment.
With the new apparatus, the Department will be able to diagnose early complications in children’s eye-sight, hence preventing vision loss. The equipment will also enhance research in this particular area as well as improve pediatric training. With this, MMUST is set to become a referral center as far as pediatric eye care is concerned.
It is worth noting that some of these tools support the COVID-19 guidelines as they are non-contact.
