Dr. Ismael Oduor said that the committee is tasked with the mandate of establishing an efficient scheme of service to facilitate the recruitment, development and career progression of staff. He commended MMUST’s Scheme of Service, saying that it is one of the most comprehensive amongst public Universities in Kenya.

“As an institution, we are growing fairly fast, therefore, we decided to look at what is going on in other public Universities,” said Dr. Oduor.

The team was particularly drawn to the University’s Customer Care and Call Centre, which provides customer service to MMUST’s internal and external community. MMUST’s Marketing Officer, Mr. James Muriithi explained to the team the University’s marketing and service delivery strategy championed by the Customer Care and Call Centre.   The Centre, which is run by the directorate of corporate communications and Marketing, is a one-stop-shop for a variety of services provided by the University.
