Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology’s Prof. Stephen Odebero has been appointed to the prestigious position of ‘Africa Education and Development Chairman’ by the Leaders of All Nations International (LOANI). Prof. Odebero, who is the Director of Postgraduate Studies at MMUST, assumed this role on 1st June 2024 and will serve until 1st June 2025. LOANI, a globally recognized Non-Profit Organization registered in the United Kingdom, is dedicated to advancing gender equality, empowering women and girls, ensuring inclusive education, reducing inequality, combating climate change, and promoting peace and justice. With representation in over 189 countries, LOANI works towards the global achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a continental Chairperson, Prof. Odebero will be serving as an Honorary Ambassador, representing Africa among seven continents, including Asia, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. His responsibilities include providing strategic oversight, leadership, and direction for LOANI’s initiatives across Africa. Prof. Odebero acts as the Primary Spokesperson for the continent, overseeing activities and reporting directly to the LOANI Board.
