Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has partnered with the KenyanNurse Consultant LTD to conduct transformative training on global nursing careers. This event, graced by the Director of Career Services, Prof Robert Egessa, aimed to equip healthcare workers and nursing students with insights into international certifications (NCLEX-RN, NMC-CBT), English proficiency examinations (IELTS, TOEFL), and the visa application process for overseas opportunities. The training took place on 15th November 2024, at the University Multi-Purpose Hall.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Egessa, emphasized the value of this training in aligning MMUST students with global opportunities. “This event prepares our nursing students for international certifications and equips them with practical knowledge on how to navigate the process of seeking to expand their careers abroad. I encourage our students to take advantage of this opportunity,” he stated.

The Dean of the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Paramedics, Mr. John Arudo, highlighted the importance of this partnership in broadening opportunities for MMUST students.
“We are determined to ensure that our students are well-prepared to compete and succeed in international healthcare environments. This initiative widens their chances of excelling on the global stage,” he remarked.

Additionally, the CEO of KenyanNurse Ms. Nicole Kisuya noted that their mission as an organization is to offer support to nurses and other healthcare workers to get exposed to better global opportunities by providing the necessary training and guidance.
“MMUST as a key partner is one of the examinational centers and we are working together in forging for personalized and organization-wide growth to promote professional global nurses,” she said.
