Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Careers and Marketing Team recently took part in an inspiring Career Day at St. Augustine Kandege Secondary School, where they offered valuable insights and guidance to students eager to explore their future career options. The event, which attracted various higher learning institutions, was an invaluable opportunity for students to interact with education and career experts from various fields. The event was graced by the Director-Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service(KUCCPS), Prof. John Oluoch.
The Career Day was aimed at helping the school’s senior students make informed decisions about their educational and professional paths. Representatives including Mr. Brian Ooko, Ms. Marcella Nandi, and Ms. Eveline Omungala from MMUST, alongside other participating institutions, were present to share knowledge about the diverse courses and programs available to students in the ever-evolving world of work.
Addressing students at the MMUST booth, Mr. Owino emphasized the importance of pursuing education that aligns with one’s passion and strengths, highlighting the career opportunities that MMUST offers in the fields of engineering, business, health sciences, education, and technology. “We believe in empowering students to make the right choices for their futures,” said Mr. Owino, a Customer Care Assistant from MMUST.

In addition to one-on-one consultations with students, the event featured a series of inspiring talks, where representatives from different institutions shared their experiences and the importance of higher learning in today’s competitive job market.
