The second day of the Grant Proposal Writing Workshop, hosted by the School of Arts and Social Sciences, focused on the crucial topic of ‘Finding Funding.’ Prof. Joanne Oxley shared her expert knowledge and advice on how to tailor proposals to meet the expectations of different funders. She explored deeper into the details of funding opportunities which is a key challenge for researchers by taking the participants through practical strategies to identify and approach various funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.

Additionally, Prof. Oxley provided practical tools for identifying potential funding sources, including databases, and encouraged networking to gain access to funding. Prof. Oxley’s insightful sessions continue to be a highlight of the week-long transformative workshop, which has provided a vibrant platform for seasoned and upcoming researchers looking forward to bringing their ideas to life through strategic funding acquisition.
