In a spectacular display of athletic prowess, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) emerged victorious at the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) National Playoffs held on 22nd and 23rd February 2025. The event, which attracted 35 universities from across Kenya competing sternly, exhibited an exciting showcase of talent, teamwork, and determination among the players.
MMUST not only hosted the prestigious national competitions but also delivered an exceptional performance across various sports, clinching the top position in the championship and bagging gold, silver, and bronze medals. It exhibited stellar performances in various categories, including the Rugby (Women’s Team), Taekwondo (Women’s Category), Scrabble (Women’s Category), and Chess (Men’s Category), who clinched gold medals after an intense series of matches.

Similarly, MMUST displayed remarkable tenacity in Scrabble (Men’s Category), Badminton (Men’s Category), Basketball (Men’s Category), and Basketball (Women’s Category), ultimately securing silver medals after fierce competition in these categories. In addition to these achievements, MMUST’s Darts (Men’s Category), Darts (Women’s Category), and Taekwondo (Men’s Category) also showcased depth in talent, as these teams brought home bronze medals.
