MMUST ladies soccer team came second best in the 2018 East Africa Inter-University Games held in Dodoma Tanzania from 17th - 21st December, 2018. This came after a narrow loss in a thrilling match against Uganda’s Christian University in post-match penalties that ended 4-3.

MMUST shined in a series of matches, having crushed Kyambogo University 1-0 in a tough semi-final encounter. The tournament brought together a total of twelve university teams from the Eastern African countries that included Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania and Rwanda.
