Dr. Benard Omondi Omogo
Dr. Benard O Omogo holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Chemistry from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA. His area of academic specialization is Physical and Inorganic Chemistry with research interest in the fields of Nanotechnology especially is the synthesis of both semi-conductor and noble nanomaterials for biological applications and environmental remediation, respectively. His major scholarly contribution was on the investigation of the contributions of the interfacial strain in Core/shell/shell Quantum Dots to their Optical and Structural Properties. He previously served as the School Examination Coordinator (SONAS) and currently the Secretary General of University Academic Staff Union (UASU), MMUST Chapter.
Some of his key published works include: -
- Reducing Blinking in Small Core–Multishell Quantum Dots by Carefully Balancing Confinement Potential and Induced Lattice Strain: The “Goldilocks” Effect DOI: https://doi.org/10.1021/acsnano.5b06994.
