Professor Danstone Baraza Lilechi is a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He teaches undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Natural Sciences.

His areas of academic interest and research are in the fields of Targeted modification of pharmacologically useful natural compounds coupled with study of structure activity relationships.

He holds a Post Doctoral Fellow from Institute of Plant Biochemistry from Halle Germany (2013), a PhD in Organic Chemistry – Areas: Natural Products, Organic synthesis, Phytochemistry, Biosynthesis and Pharmacognosy, University of Dar es Salaam (Partly at Institute of Plant Biochemistry, Germany (2005), Masters of Science (Organic Chemistry) from Dar es Salaam (1999) and Bachelors of Science (Chemistry) from the University of Nairobi (1996).

He has supervised 1 PhD and 4 Masters

His professional Fellowships and Accreditations Certifications are;
