               Dr Philip A. Ogutu

Dr Ogutu is a senior Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences and holds a doctorate degree in Zoology with bias in Animal Physiology/Immunobiology and patho-physiology of invertebrates. He also holds a master of Science  degree in Zoology with special bias to Vermitechnology, and bachelor of Science  degree in Zoology, Botany and Chemistry.

Dr Ogutu also holds  Certificate of Proficiency Senior Management Course, from the Kenya Institute of Management. His areas of academic and research interest are in the fields of medicinal plants & complementary medicine, immunobiology of invertebrates, parasitology/malaria & vector biology and vermitechnology.

He currently serves as  Chairman of the  Department of Biological Sciences, in the  School of Natural Sciences. He also serves as the Secretary, Institutional Ethics Review Committee, MMUST.
