Dr. Rose Auma
Dr. Rose Auma est actuellement enseignante du FLE et chercheuse à l’Université des Sciences et de Technologie Masinde Muliro (MMUST). Elle est titulaire d’un doctorat en études françaises (MMUST), d’une Maîtrise FLE, d’un Master arts, littérature et langues- option Linguistique, d’une Licence Sciences du Langage mention FLE et d’un diplôme d’enseignement du français langue étrangère (Rouen). Elle est personne-ressource pour l’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Tuteur Pro FLE et membre du panel français à l’Institut du Développement des Programmes d’études du Kenya (KICD). Elle a participé à l’élaboration, à la révision et à la conception de programmes d’études pour le français pour le nouveau programme d’études basé sur les compétences (CBC) aux niveaux primaire, secondaire et collège supérieur, ainsi qu’à l’évaluation de livres et du matériel supplémentaire pour l’enseignement du français à ces niveaux. Ses domaines d’intérêt académique comprennent le FLE, la pédagogie des langues étrangères, l’acquisition du langage, les interactions verbales, la traduction, l’élaboration de programmes d’études ainsi que la formation initiale et continue des enseignants du Français langue étrangère. Elle est actuellement Doyenne de l’École des Arts et des Sciences de l’homme (SASS).
Dr. Rose Auma is currently a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST). She holds a PhD in French Studies ( MMUST), a Master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language ( Maîtrise FLE ) and a special Masters in Arts, Literature and Languages- Linguistics option (Master) from the university of Rouen- France. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics with French as a foreign Language and a Diploma in Teaching of French as a foreign language (Rouen). Dr. Auma is a resource person for the Francophone University Agency (AUF), a Pro FLE Tutor (Tutor for continued training of Teachers of French) and a member of the French panel at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). She has participated in the development and editing of curriculum designs for French for the new CBC curriculum at Primary, Secondary and Diploma levels and previously review of books and supplementary material for teaching of French at secondary and Diploma levels. Her areas of academic interest include French as a foreign language, foreign language pedagogy, language acquisition, verbal interaction, translation, curriculum development as well as initial and continued training of teachers of French. She currently serves as the Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS).
