DR. SABELLA KIPRONO.

Dr. Sabella Kiprono is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory and holds a Doctorate Degree in Microbiology. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fogarty Global Health Fellow; under Havard University, Boston University, Northwestern University and University of New Mexico (HBNU) Consortium. Her areas of research interest are in designing a targeted delivery system by encapsulation of probiotics for oral delivery of beneficial biotherapeutics (antioxidants, vitamins, proteins);Biomaterials-Bacterial cellulose production and its biomedical application;Ethno medicinal uses of medicinal products (stingless bee honey) and it antimicrobial profiles.

She has further published several manuscripts in peer reviewed refereed journals. She was formerly the School's Postgraduate Studies Co-ordinator and currently serves as the Research and Innovation Co-ordinator at the department.Some of her key published works include: -
