Eng. Dr. Joel Kipruto Chirchir
Eng. Dr. Joel Kipruto Chirchir , lecturer at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), in the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
He holds a PhD degree of Engineering Sciences from Russian Friendship University of Moscow (RFU). A registered Professional Engineer and member of Institute of Engineers, Kenya (IEK). A Trained registered Certified Energy Manager (CEM). Decades of experience in the fields of teaching, scientific research and industrial manufacture. Specializes in Engineering Design, Industrial Machining Processes, Automation and Robotics, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM). Teaches Operations Management, Energy Audit and Management to Post Graduates . Particularly keen on Simulations for the Optimization of Manufacturing Processes and Energy Conservation.
Research areas include: Non-conventional Machining Methods, Energy conservation in the production of tea; and also in the processing of dairy products. Incorporation of new engineering materials.
Practical Experience: Worked long as Factory Engineer for an international Manufacture. Worked long as Production Manager at an Automotive Plant. Worked long as an Production Manager for an international Perfumery company. Long as Shift Mechanic at Krasny Proletariat Machine Tooling company. Taught as lecturer at The UNIDO scholarship for developing world.
