Dr. Janet K. Oyaro
Janet Oyaro is an employee of MMUST, where she works as an Assistant Lecturer in the department of Civil Engineering. She has over 7 years’ experience in the design and management of infrastructural projects and 3 years of lecturing experience. Janet Oyaro is also final year PhD student at the University of KwaZulu Natal in Durban South Africa. She is pursuing her PhD in the Civil Engineering department under the Sustainable Transport Research group (STRg). Her doctoral research is based on performance of signalised intersections under rainy weather conditions and the implications that may have on road safety. Her other research interests centre on road safety and traffic management. She is a student member of SAICE and a graduate member of the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). She holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and management from the University of Twente in the Netherlands and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil and Structural engineering from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kenya.
