               Dr. Regina N. Bwire

Dr. Regina N. Bwire holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam-Tanzania and an M. Phil Degree from the University of Botswana-Botswana. Currently she is a Chemistry lecturer and researcher in natural products chemistry at MMUST, with interests in commercialization of research outputs. She has been an exam and departmental postgraduate coordinator. She is currently serving as the departmental coordinator of the B. Tech. Cosmetology program and SONAS TVET coordinator. She has also developed curricula for various courses at university level including Technical Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) courses. Professionally a member of The Kenya chemical society (KCS) where she serves as the treasurer, KCS-Western Chapter, a member of the Kenya DAAD Scholars association (KDSA) where she serves as NEC member and secretary KDSA-MMUST Chapter. She also serves on the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) Technical Committee on Natural products. She has passion to serve the community and hence chairs a Community Based Organization (CBO) and also serves on various school boards of management. Dr. Bwire leads various community outreach activities especially geared towards advocating for the wellbeing and rights of the most vulnerable persons in the community through various platforms.
