Dr. Henry Barasa Wafula

Dr. Henry Barasa Wafula holds a doctorate degree in Physics specializing in Solar Energy Materials. His areas of academic and research interest are in the fields of Photovoltaic solar cell Materials Design and Fabrication, Solar Energy Technology research. His major scholarly contribution was his role in Characterization of Cobalt Doped Titanium Dioxide and Cu: In2S3 Nanocomposite Thin films Deposited by ILGAR Technique for Photovoltaic application. His recent research interests include use of Density Functional Theory and Molecular Dynamics computational approaches in the study of materials in Photovoltaic applications. He currently serves as the Departmental Chairperson of the Postgraduate Studies Committee. A member of the following professional bodies: European Physical Society (EPS), African Network for Solar Energy (ANSOLE), Physics Society of Kenya (PSK), Kenya DAAD Scholars Association (KDSA) and Material Science and Solar Energy Network for Eastern and Southern Africa (MSESSA)
