Prof. Gonzo K. D. Manyasi.

Professor Gonzo Kizzito D. Manyasi (currently an Adjunct Professor in MMUST’s School of Medicine as indicated above in the contacts) is the former Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK), Kenya, and an Associate Professor in Clinical Biology with a MSc (Medical Parasitology and Immunology), and PhD (Histopathology and Immunocytochemistry) and DLSHTM (a Postgraduate Diploma) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), University of London. His vast experience, spanning some three decades, has included teaching and supervising students’ research projects in different areas of clinical biology that, in recent years have included HIV and reproductive health and youth programmes in addition to programme management and administration. He is very passionate about the Global Health initiative, particularly how it relates to achieving Universal Health Coverage (among other health-related SDG targets), through capacity strengthening/building in order to help stem inequalities in coverage and affordability, while promoting greater efficiency and eliminating waste.
