Dr. Annette W. Okoth.

Dr. Annette W. Okoth is a Lecturer of Statistics at the Department of Mathematics. She holds a PhD and MSc. in Statistics from Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology, and a Bachelor of Education (Science) Degree from Egerton University. She’s a member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and International Biometics Society (IBS). She is an expert in Statistical modelling. In 2017 she won the Joint ISI – IBS Young Statisticians’ Award for the 2017 World Statistics Congress that was held in Marrakesh-Morocco.
Dr. Okoth sits on various Conference Organizing committees (MMUST) and the Youth Summit Organizing Committee (MMUST). She also sits on the committee for African Women in Science & Engineering (AWSE), Western – MMUST Chapter as the Secretary.

She is a member of the Steering group on Climate Mobility Africa Research Network . She has attended and presented at a number of conferences, both local and international.
She is involved in outreach activities to schools where she mentors, does academic coaching and speaks to students about the need to excel in STEM Subjects.
She has a number of publications in refereed journals in her area of expertise.
