Mr. Prestone Simiyu

I have learnt a lot from the field of technology and academics from being a teacher, instructor, senior technician, developer, project manager and administrative assistant in different organizations and institutions. Academically, I am pursing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Information Technology in Kibabii University. Also, I hold a Master of Science in Information Technology degree from Kibabii University (2019). Additionally, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication and Information Technology from Kenyatta University (2013). This degrees in technology are supported by various training that I have done. Notably, Designing Blended Courses, Android Development using Kotlin(Google), Wordpress wEBSITE development, Moodle (LMS) specialist, ISO 27001:2013, Web Metrics, pedagogical skills, board paper and cabinet memo writing, ISO 9001: 2015, and Native Android development from Emobilis.   I have relevant working experience that started with my two Industrial Attachments; one at KBC television and another at MMUST. This attachments played a role in securing an internship at Bernbest Technologies before my first employment as an IT project manager at Altech Africa. I joined Kibabii University in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant and part time senior technician. Currently, I am working as a Tutorial Fellow (IT department in MMUST ). I also worked as a Technologist III in ODEL at Kibabii University, with my main duty being managing of the Learning Management System (LMS). I have developed various software including, high school management system and different android application. I have also created and hosted a number of websites. My main hobby is coaching basketball.
