Mr. Peter Nandikove

Holds Master of Science in Health systems management from Kenya Methodist University (KEMU). BScN (University of Nairobi) graduate and currently pursuing PHD in Nursing .Nursing Lecturer in Masinde Muliro University of Science &Technology (MMUST); school of nursing and midwifery since 2012. He is the SONMAPS Nursing Council of Kenya & International Linkages Co-ordinator. Has over twelve years of technical experience in clinical, project work, nursing education and management. In previous assignments, he has worked as an assistant programme manager of neonatal sepsis study programme (Moi University/WHO Project) & Project Assistant with Amref in both PMTCT and Maternal and Child health before joining MMUST.
Is a registered member with Nursing Council of Kenya (Registration number BScN (KRCHN 577) and a branch official of Midwifery Association of Kenya (Kakamega).
Is a master trainer in Emergency Obstetrics and Neonatal Care &
Mentorship. A lead trainer in simulation and team training for Obstetric and neonatal Emergencies with Pronto international & University of Washington. Has served on several occasions as Essential (Emergency Obstetric Care and Newborn care as a course director and quality assurance officer in Emonc trainings since the year 2013 to date. Has participated in national wide capacity building activities, community outreach programmes on behalf of the university.
In addition to his core responsibilities; he has participated in performance contracting awareness, skills lab methodology training, pedagogy and andragogy skills training, curriculum development for health care workers, participated in Operations research ; Effect of Obstetric and Newborn care training interventions on Knowledge and skills of midwifery skills of Midwifery students prior to graduation in Kenya; A randomized Control trial. Has also conducted mentorship sessions on Emonc with Kakamega county and affiliated partners including Afya Halisi.Has also served as a technical panelist during promotional interviews of nursing officers serving in the department of Health services in Kakamega County.
He served as Covid 19 rapid response team member of Masinde Muliro University of Science and technology which has been instrumental in the Kakamega county roll out of numerous trainings in line with Covid 19 management within Kakamega County.
