Dr. Simiyu Edwin Jairus

Dr. Edwin Jairus Simiyu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, School of Business and Economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from Nelson Mandela University –South Africa, M.A Economics from Kampala International University –Uganda and Bachelor of Education in Mathematics & Economics from Moi University, Eldoret. Dr. Edwin Jairus Simiyu previously worked as the departmental examinations and timetable coordinator from 2018 to 2023.

His expertise and research interests are in Development Economics, Public Sector Economics Macroeconomics and International Economics.He Lectures Undergraduate and Post graduate levels at the School of Business and Economics of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. Dr Simiyu is also a consultant on international trade and Tariff arrangements.
