Dr. Lucy Amanya Mutuli is a registered Human Nutritionist, a researcher and a captivating communicator who inspires people to eat healthy foods and maintain active lifestyles. She who holds a PhD in Health Promotion from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology-Kenya; Master of Science degree in Community Nutrition and Development and B.Ed Home Science and Technology; Maseno University. Over the past 10 years, she has been actively and passionately involved in bringing about behaviour change through focus on how to promote action rather than mere motivation in Maternal, Child Health and other vulnerable groups of peoples in the society.  She has conducted various projects which have positively impacted in the society. This includes “Integrating Optimal Dietary Intake and Physical Activity as a Process of Reducing Relapse Amongst Alcoholics Aged 15-65 In Asumbi Rehabilitation Center”. This was a successful project which reduced alcohol relapse by 80 percent after a year of discharge. She has been a beneficiary of various partnerships and mentoring programmes inclusive of UNESCO- Merck Africa Research Summit and Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen UR, NETHERLAND. She has published various papers and books in peer reviewed journals as well as attended international conferences and workshops. She is Senior Lecturer at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Department of Nutritional Sciences.
