Dr. Vincent Ojwang’ is a seasoned public health physician and consultant epidemiologist with over 18 years of experience in epidemiological research, health systems strengthening, and academic leadership. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Community Health and Behavioural Sciences at MMUST, where he leads curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and community-based public health initiatives.
His professional journey spans high-impact roles with institutions such as UNICEF, and KEMRI where he spearheaded large-scale health programs and surveillance systems, especially in HIV prevention, maternal and child health, and data-driven public health planning. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is actively engaged in research on perinatal risk factors of childhood asthma and allergy as part of his PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Tampere, Finland.
Dr. Ojwang’ holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Moi University. He brings a unique blend of technical expertise, policy insight, and a passion for teaching the next generation of health professionals.
