Butita Martin K. is a Hospitality Operations Management Specialist and Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Nutritional Science,with over ten years of experience in teaching.He is also the departmental coordinator of examinations in the department.He previously served as a Tutorial fellow at Zetech University in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism and part time lecturer of Tourism and Hospitality units at Cooperative University of Kenya for nine years cumulatively. Additionally, Mr.Khasebe has lectured at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) for three years.

He is currently pursuing a PHD in Hospitality Management from the Technical University of Kenya and holds a Masters (M.Sc.) in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Kenyatta University as well as a Bachelors (B.Sc.) in Ecotourism Hotel and Institutional Management from Maseno University.His areas of research interest are in Hospitality Internal Control Systems, Hotel and Restaurant meal and drink experience, Hospitality Guest Relations and the MICE concept in the Management of hospitality operations. His major scholarly contribution was his role in ascertaining the internal control mechanisms in relation to cost reduction measures in the housekeeping departments of star rated hotels in Nairobi County.

Mr.Khasebe has also worked for KNEC as an external examiner for technical subjects such as Practical food and beverage examinations.He also has a rich industry experience having worked at The Reef Hotel in Mombasa for two years. He was instrumental in steering the workforce in the food and beverage department to meet their departmental objectives.

He is a member of the Tourism Professional Association (TPA).
