The University community is hereby informed that the MMUSO Elections 2026 will take place in March, marking an important moment in the student leadership calendar.
The Chairperson of the MMUSO Electoral Commission 2026, Prof. Kennedy Onkware, has confirmed that the elections will be conducted on two separate dates to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated process:
-
11th March 2026 – Elections for the Electoral Colleges
-
13th March 2026 – Elections for the 9th Student Executive Council
The exercise will provide students with an opportunity to elect their representatives at both the Electoral College level and the Student Executive Council level. These leaders will be entrusted with representing student interests and contributing to the growth and development of student governance within the university.
The Electoral Commission has assured the student body of its commitment to conducting a free, fair, and transparent election in line with established guidelines and procedures.
Students are encouraged to participate responsibly and in large numbers. Active participation in the electoral process strengthens representation and reinforces the democratic values upheld by the university community.
