We are delighted to inform you that Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology’s risk mitigation expert, Dr. Nicodemus Nyandiko, has been appointed to the advisory committee of the global Platform on Disaster Displacement (PDD). This appointment was effected as from 28th May, 2022.
PDD is a State-led initiative, based in Switzerland, which works towards better protection for people displaced across borders in the context of disasters and climate change.
The Advisory Committee consists, inter alia, of individuals and representatives of international and regional organizations, research institutions, academia, private sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other civil society stakeholders. Dr. Nyandiko’s appointment effectively places MMUST in the league of disaster displacement giants in the world.
