
MMUST Hosts Federation of East African School Sports Association Championship 2025!!!
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is hosting the Federation of East African School Sports Association (FEASSA) Championship 2025. This premier regional sporting event, which runs from 14th to 25th August 2025, has brought together hundreds of young athletes from across East Africa.

The games officially opened today, 15th August 2025, in a grand ceremony at the Bukhungu Stadium with a soccer match between Musingu boys (Kenya) and Kizuka Secondary (Tanzania). The ceremony was presided over by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, and was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Principal Secretary for Higher Education and Research, Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala; MMUST Vice Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Shibairo; Senator for Kakamega County, Dr. Bonny Khalwale; and Kakamega County Deputy Governor, Hon. Ayub Savula.

Also present were FEASSA Executive members, sports enthusiasts from across East Africa, and community members.
It is without doubt that this championship serves as a key venue for thrilling competitions that showcase the remarkable talent of East Africa’s emerging athletes. As a University, we are honored to be at the center of this premier regional event, which highlights the spirit of sportsmanship and cooperation among participating nations.
