
MMUST Students to Represent Africa at the 2025 SDG Olympiad Global Innovation Championship in Geneva
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) continues to shine on the global stage as two outstanding teams prepare to represent not only Kenya but the entire African continent at the prestigious 2025 SDG Olympiad Global Challenge in Geneva, Switzerland, scheduled for 10th to 15th October 2025.
MMUST proudly announces that Ms. Teresiah Nyandoro and her team, together with Mr. Phabian Odoyo and his team, will travel to Geneva on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, to showcase their groundbreaking innovations.
Remarkably, MMUST stands as the only university worldwide to qualify with two innovations, an extraordinary milestone that underscores the institution’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation, research, and sustainable development.
The Science, Park, Innovation and Incubation Centre (SPIIC) and the MMUST Innovation Academy extend their heartfelt appreciation to the university’s leadership for their unwavering support and commitment to nurturing innovation. They express sincere gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Shibairo, for his trust, guidance, and support; the Deputy Vice Chancellor (PRI), Prof. Peter Bukhala, for his continuous mentorship, encouragement, and support; and the Registrar (PRI), Dr. Collins Matemba, for his steadfast assistance throughout this journey.
