Welcome to the Public Relations Office

The Public Relations Office, under the Vice Chancellor’s Office, is an important point of reference for all internal and external University communication. It coordinates with other departments to discharge its duties especially in regard to publications, documentaries, special events, crisis communications, advertising, media relations among others. It also provides a structured and coordinated communication from the University to its stakeholders. Its mandate is to ensure that there is in place an effective and flexible internal and external communications strategy to ensure that communication skills and techniques influence, protect, manage and enhance the reputation of the University.

The broad functions of Public Relations Office include:

The operations of the Public Relations Office are guided by, among other documents, the:

  • Crisis Management Policy
  • Social Media Policy

The Public Relations Office also houses the University Customer Care. The Centre is a one stop shop where all internal and external customers can find information about the University. It offers quality, prompt and centralized services to all clients.
