Brief description

This MOA focuses on the following:

                        MMUST OBLIGATIONS

• Ensure accreditation of Butula Campus with the regulators
• Invest in research, development and continuous updating of curricular as provided in this Agreement with input from BUCERED under BUTULA NG-CDF stakeholders where necessary and avail it for use by BUCERED under BUTULA NG-CDF
• Ensure students admission in accordance with the UNIVERSITY senate entry requirements
• Provide academic programmes as stipulated by the UNIVERSITY senate
• Award upon successful completion of courses the respective University’s certificates, which shall comprise: Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates, or any other awards as approved by the senate.
• Pay for and maintain all utilities provided during the period of the Agreement
• Keep the said facilities adequately secured, lighted and in good state of repair during the period of agreement
• Pay promptly all such bills and expenses that may be incurred in keeping the said facilities in good working condition and in accordance with the commission for university education
• Provide basic transport facilities
• Provide staff to work at the campus
• Provide furniture and equipment to be used at the campus
• Set up college management board in line with its mandate as per MMUST charter 2013 and established structures.
• Engage the community in social responsibilities.
• Ensure approval by the university senate and council for accreditation
• Enhance collaboration activities through bilateral support
• Support the development of, growth and sustenance of the collaboration through access to platforms for funding

BUTULA OBLIGATIONS

• Provide an enabling equipment environment for realization of the objectives of the collaboration
• Enhance collaboration activities through bilateral support
• Support the development of, growth and sustenance of the collaboration through access to platforms for funding
• Make available suitable facilities, including tuition premises within BUCERED under BUTULA NG-CDF to be used by MMUST for FREE
• Provide basic infrastructures like water, land, electricity, water storage facilities, parking space, playgrounds and sanitation
• Provide security during the period of the agreement.

Renewed in December 2020-December 2025
