Ag. VC Prof. Solomon Shibairo officially joins MMUST’s Coronavirus Emergency Response Team

MMUST’s new Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. Solomon Shibairo today hit the ground running with regard to the fight against Covid-19.  Flanked by the DVC’s, university registrars, finance officer and a section of the Coronavirus Emergency Response team, the professor inspected stores and laboratories at Star Annex where our sanitizing gels, liquid soaps, Jik, distilled water and sanitizing sprays are kept. Prof. Shibairo was happy to note that all these products in our stores are produced by MMUST through the Chemistry department.

Further, the Vice Chancellor also visited the Skills Laboratory at Star Annex where training of health care providers takes place. The Skills Laboratory is a simulated hospital set up that offers up to date clinical skills. Speaking during the interaction with the Covid-19 team, Prof. Shibairo said sensitization and the use of critical equipment and masks will help fight against Covid- 19.
